Several days ago, we were notified that Apple has announced a new book that’s priced at $299. Being the optimists that we are, we assumed that this book was some sort of a digital novelty that functions like an iPad. While checking the 2 minutes intro trailer, we were waiting on the edge of our seats to see what this book was all about.
Finally, the time comes where they unveil the Apple Book and it was…it was just a photo book like any other. The unique thing about it? Other than it being the best Apple Book they ever made, well, it chronicles the technological progress of Apple across 20 years through images. There are 450 photos of products since 1998 to 2015, covering the classic iMac up to the advanced Apple Pencil. A good gesture by the company is that they dedicated the book to the memory of Steve Jobs, Apple’s founder.
Prices for the book start at $199 for the small sized version (10.20” x 12.75”) while the big version (13” x 16.25”) is priced at $299. For those interested to buy it, you can get it at your local Apple Store. Whether it is worth the price or not is for you to decide but if you want our unbiased opinion, the prices are too expensive for a photo book of this kind. Sticking an Apple logo on it doesn’t make it any more valuable than what it really is. You can watch the introduction video for the Apple Book below.
