Samsung has finally unveiled the anticipated Galaxy Note 7 at a press event in New York. The device comes with the latest technology packing an iris scanner that can now be the safest alternative to passwords. With a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED screen, it features a ”mobile HDR” technology which renders colors to become more vivid to the human eye. The estimated number of pixels per inch is 518 which is fascinating for a phone of this size. It supports the Samsung S-Pen which you can use conveniently for many tasks on this big-screen phone.
It powers a 12 megapixel camera a 5 megapixel front camera which is arguably a high standard in comparison to other brand devices. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 comes with a 4 GB Ram and a Snapdragon 820 octacore processor that runs at 2.3 Ghz Quad & 1.6 Ghz Quad. English speaking, it’s blazing fast. With such power, the phone is sustained by a 3,500 mAh battery.
While it is a new phone, its design is familiar due to ts curvy edges that many have compared to the Edge line of phones. Perhaps its design is not its main allure but its iris scanner security system sure is. The company argues that this new system is even safer than the fingerprint reader. By raising your phone to your eyes, the phone immediately unlocks after recognizing your unique irises.
This all sounds great but how much does it cost? We can expect the phone to be released on September 2nd and pre-orders starting on August 16th. The price range is around 600 – 680 GBP or $800 – 900. It is quite expensive and yet worth the price considering the powerful hardware and unique software that it houses.
