The iPhone 5e: Thinner, Lighter, & Cheaper

As we get closer to Apple’s next keynote, we all are wondering what could the company possibly unveil next. There have been whispers around the net about a new line of iPhone smartphones by the name of iPhone 5e. It is believed that the letter ‘e’ stands for ‘enhanced’. That is very strange, because Apple hasn’t used the ‘s’ or ‘c’ on this one. According to some reports, this device is meant to replace the iPhone 5s. The mystery device is said to come with a 4 inch display at an affordable price.

It seems that it will pack an Apple A8 processor along with 1GB of RAM. We are also expecting to find an 8 megapixel camera with a 1,642 mAh battery. In addition, other great features will be included such as the fingerprint scanner and NFC. The fun thing about it is that it has been reported that it will come in many color varieties, such as space grey, silver, gold, rose gold, bright blue, pink and others. Different sources have suggested that it will share a lot of features from the iPhone 6 and 6s, meaning that it will come with an A9 processor and 2 GB of RAM, although this is highly doubted. Possibly, it might come in 2 models only, such as 16GB and 64GB of storage.

Finally, the iPhone 5e may be unveiled in March or April and we expect it to come with average specs in order to be affordable to the mass consumer. It’s never bad to incorporate older technology in the device as long as the price is very cheap. Some have suggested that pricing may start around $500 but it may be lower than that. Considering that it is expected to come thinner, lighter, and cheaper; we don’t mind in seeing this new line of devices hitting the market. Stay tuned with us for the latest rumors and information on this interesting device that Apple is working on.
